National award finalist and the VIBE on 5

This has been a week filled with a lot of really great news so we thought we would list a couple of big announcements in one blog posting.

National Awards – Canadian Home Builders Association

To start the week off we were informed that Lexis Homes has been named as a finalist in 2 award categories for the best homes in Canada! The winner is not chosen until March but we do know we are in the top 5 in the country. We are also the only builder in Saskatoon to make any of the finals. That got our tires pumped up!

The criteria for the awards included items such as design, originality, environmental considerations, and pricing.

Our Broadway townhome is a finalist for single attached home of the year. This was a great project for us that got a lot of attention for Lexis. It was great to see this modern home get some recognition.

Our Hargreaves Crescent home is a finalist for best production home under 1500 sq ft in size. This was a great example of how we can fit a modern home into an existing neighbourhood and make it look unique but not awkward around the “standard homes”.

Feel free to browse through the homes section of the website to view photos of these homes.

Congratulations to everyone that is part of the Lexis team from design to construction!

The VIBE on 5 is unveiled

Also occurring this week is the unveiling of “the VIBE on 5” project. This is our modern home infill project located on the 1100 block of 5th St. We are pretty excited about this project as it allows us to assemble a number of really unique and modern homes together on one block! What an impact we will create.

This project is planned for 2 stages. Stage 1 will start in late December 2011 or early January 2012. In stage 1 we plan to build a very modern single family home and a semi-detached townhome.

At this point in the development, there may be an opportunity for some custom designs/plans for potential buyers.

Stay tuned for more updates on this project and feel free to let us know what you think of the plans.
